The Adlington Folk Dance Club has existed for over 50 years,
To enjoy and promote English country dances, both as a participation activity and an Art form by giving costume performances.
In 1993 a section called The Adlington Folk Dancers were formed to specialize in the costume performances.

They perform English traditional country dances from
1651 to date, In a variety of period costumes.
